What is emPower! eyewear?
emPower! is the world's first electronic eye-wear allowing the reading zone to turn on or off, manually or automatically inside the lens.

How do they work?
They utilize an electronically activated reading zone embedded inside the lens that actually turns on or off. When turned off, the whole lens becomes clear for distance viewing and when turned on you're ready to read in an instant. Manually controlled by a simple touch or automatically controlled by the micro processor inside the frames.

Take the emPower! test...
If you currently wear bifocals, stand straight up and look down at your toes. Now, realize how far you have tilted your head to see above the always present blur of the reading area to the clear distance zone of your lenses. Now imagine all of the lens being clear for distance viewing when not in the reading mode! Stairs, escalators, and walking all become more natural when you have an electronic lens. On in an instant when you need them, off when you don't.

Are they easy to use?
Yes! You can put them in automatic mode and they turn on when you tilt your head down in a reading position. Or put them in manual mode and turn them on or off when you prefer. It's as simple as touching the frames.

How are they powered?
Amazingly simple, set the frames in the included charger at night and you are ready to go in the morning for 2-3 days of use. The included battery is hidden inside the frames.

Bifocals and progressives make me dizzy...
That's called swim, the effect of the always present distortion of traditional bifocals and progressive lenses. With emPower! most people experience more visual comfort because swim is usually created by the reading zone blur in distance viewing. emPower! can virtually eliminate this distortion because the reading zone electronically deactivates for distance viewing.
